Quincy MA firm wins $27 million contract
A Quincy MA firm won the $27 million contract for operation and maintenance of seven military cargo ships, as reported recently in The Patriot Ledger. These seven cargo ships are government-owned Bob Hope-class large ships with more than 380,000 square feet of cargo space. Each ship runs at medium-speed and features reinforced decks, cranes and ramps for efficient loading and unloading of military cargo. The contract has options that could pan out to be valued at $238 million over the course of 6 and a half years, giving MA’s South Shore an economic boost.
