In Massachusetts South Shore the retail business is continuing to press forward with expansion of new stores to come.

Hingham MA is expecting a series of 18 upscale outlet stores from Talbots Inc by the end of this year; this Hingham-based apparel retailer has added about 3,000 customers to their file via the new outlet stores already in operation.  Also in the works is a $20 million project from the developers of BJ’s Wholesale Club store.  This BJ’s project will include a 85,000 sq ft store in Quincy MA, with the expectation of adding 150 new construction jobs and 150 to 200 part-time and full-time jobs when the store is completed.
