In a move that is expect to help Braintree MA’s New England Office Supply Inc (NEOS) expand their market, NEOS has made a deal to buy Old Colony Stationery Inc; this merger will strengthen the company’s printing business and expand it to Central and Western Massachusetts.
For years, NEOS and Old Colony have been friendly competitors and through recent discussions between the two companies, the merger agreement was set forth in order to help both companies to flourish.  With this purchase, NEOS will acquire a key distribution hub in Central MA in the form of a 19,000 sq ft location.  Also beneficial for NEOS is the ability to now handle printing requests in-house with the three printing presses Old Colony utilized for their business instead of having to outsource these jobs.
